May 17

Northview Defeats Resilient Eastwood Team, 6-5

The Eagles’ effort to come back from down six runs in the first inning came up just short, as they fell 6-5 to the Falcons on Thursday.  Eastwood scored five runs in the failed comeback on a double by Jack Ferguson in the first, a single by Tristan Mansell in the first, a groundout by Charlie Baker in the first, a error in the first, and a single by Colin Broderick in the fourth.  Eastwood fell behind early in the loss. Northview scored on a multiple hits and an error in the first inning.

Kenny Goldfinger started the game for the Eagles. He went one inning, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out one. Baker and Broderick entered the game from the bullpen, throwing four and a third innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.

Eastwood collected ten hits on the day. Ferguson, Will Kaiser, and Baker each managed multiple hits.  Kaiser and Ferguson each collected three hits to lead the team.

 

May 10

The Eagles Overcome The Westlane Wildcats In Face Of Early 5-Run Inning, 11-8

Eastwood claimed a 11-8 victory on Thursday, despite a big push by the Wildcats in the fifth inning.  Bats blistered as the Eagles collected 11 hits and Westlane tallied eight in the high-scoring game.  

Eastwood got things started in the first inning, scoring two runs when Charlie Baker singled.

Baker led things from the pitcher’s mound. He went four innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out four.

The Eagles saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Tristan Mansell and Eli Buddenbaum each racked up multiple hits.   Mansell led the way with three hits in four at bats. Eastwood stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Ethan Campbell led the way with two.

 

May 7

The Eagles Take The Game Over Noblesville East In A Blow-Out Victory, 9-2

The Eastwood Eagles easily did away with Noblesville East 9-2 on Monday.  Eastwood notched three runs in the fourth inning. Will Kaiser, Owen Parrett, and Charlie Baker powered the big inning with RBIs.

Kenny Goldfinger got the start for the Eagles. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out four and walking one.

The Eagles racked up eight hits in the game. Nathan Hayes and Kaiser each had multiple hits.  Kaiser and Hayes all had two hits to lead the team.

 

May 2

Eastwood Takes A High-Scoring Game From Westlane, 9-6

Eastwood bested the Westlane Wildcats in a high-scoring affair, 9-6.

Westlane got on the board in the first inning. Nathan Hayes threw a wild pitch allowing three runs across the plate for Westlane.  Eastwood knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the second inning, when an error scored one run.  Eastwood pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Owen Parrett singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs and Ethan Campbell singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Westlane scored three runs in the fifth inning. Westlane scored its runs on a error.

Hayes led things off on the hill for the Eagles. He went three innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out five.

The Eagles saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Kenny Goldfinger and Parrett each had multiple hits.  Parrett and Goldfinger each collected two hits to lead the team.  Eastwood tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Will Kaiser led the way with three.

 

April 26

Eagles Defeat the Indy Kings By 12 Runs, 14-2

The Eagles had everything working on Thursday, winning big over Indy Kings 14-2.  In the first inning, Eastwood got their offense started. Tristan Mansell singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.  The team tallied seven runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower by Eastwood was led by Teague McClurg, Ethan Campbell, Colin Broderick, Will Kaiser, and Charlie Baker, all driving in runs in the frame.

Baker was on the pitcher’s mound for the Eagles. He went four innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Eastwood scattered seven hits in the game.  Mansell and Baker all managed multiple hits. Baker and Mansell all had two hits to lead the team.

 

April 17

Eastwood Eagles-7 Defeats Heritage Christian In A Blow-Out Victory

Eastwood coasted to an easy victory over Heritage Christian 7-1 on Tuesday

The Eagles fired up the offense in the second inning, when Will Kaiser singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.  The Eagles put up three runs in the fourth inning. Eastwood Eagles-7 scored its runs on a single by Kenny Goldfinger.

Charlie Baker toed the rubber for the Eagles. He lasted three innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out two.

Eastwood saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game. Goldfinger and Kaiser each collected multiple hits. Kaiser and Goldfinger each managed two hits to lead the team. Eastwood tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Goldfinger led the way with four.

 

April 12

Eastwood Loses Lead Early In Defeat to Zionsville, 22-2

Eastwood watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 22-2 loss to Zionsville on Thursday.  

The Eagles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Zionsville, giving up 22 runs.

Ethan Campbell was on the hill for Eastwood. He allowed four hits and five runs over one inning. Colin Broderick and Owen Parrett entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

Parrett, Ethan Patterson, Tristan Mansell, and Teague McClurg each collected one hit to lead the team.
